Students in Action: The Hungarian Service Club Responds to Winter Needs in Budapest

19.01.2026

A Longstanding Commitment to Local Service

Service at AISB is rooted in connection, responsibility, and learning beyond the classroom. The Hungarian Service Club plays an important role in this work by supporting local Hungarian organizations through sustained, meaningful service.

The club’s mission is to engage with the local community in thoughtful and respectful ways. Over the years, students have built long-term relationships with organizations that address real needs in Hungary, returning regularly to listen, learn, and contribute.

Among these partnerships is Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat, where students have supported initiatives focused on people in need, particularly during the winter months. The club has also worked with mothers’ shelters, partnered with Bridle Up Hope, and supported the Salvation Army through weekend visits to help with soup kitchen services.

Learning Through Action

The Hungarian Service Club reflects AISB’s broader approach to education — developing engaged, compassionate learners who understand their role in the communities they are part of. By connecting learning with action, students gain perspective, empathy, and a deeper sense of responsibility.

We are grateful to the students who give their time and energy, to the organizations who partner with us, and to the families who support this work.
