High School Profile

Principal’s Welcome

The high school at AISB provides educational excellence in a supportive learning environment. From academic rigor to extensive service projects and athletics, our curriculum challenges the whole student and encourages striving for excellence in all endeavors.

AISB has a diverse student body representing more than fifty nationalities. This rich cultural background provides students with opportunities to look at issues and ideas from many perspectives. Student Council, Model United Nations, CAS, co-curricular and outreach activities and the athletics programs are designed to involve students in a well-rounded high school experience.

While AISB offers support to non-native English speakers,  the high school requires a prerequisite level of English proficiency.  Also, given the academic rigor of the school’s program, learning resource assistance is only available to support students with mild learning disabilities.

Nearly two-thirds of the students in grade 11 and 12 are involved in the full International Baccalaureate Diploma program. The average IB Diploma scores for AISB students over the past five years has been 32 points, well above the worldwide IB average.  Students not enrolled in the full diploma program usually take several IB certificates.

If you are making a decision about where to pursue your high school education, I strongly encourage you to attend AISB.  Feel free to email our counselor, the IB Coordinator, or myself with specific curricular questions you might have. Your questions may be directed to admissions@nk.aisb.hu.
