The program and curriculum of the Elementary School Gardes 1-5 feature the rich resources and approaches to instruction found in quality elementary schools. This allows a smooth transition for students entering AISB or returning to their home country or similar international schools.

The program balances appropriate subject content with the skill set needed to develop successful, increasingly independent learners. There are four classes at each grade level. The maximum class size is 18 students per room in first through fifth grade.

Our primary focus involves meeting individual needs as well as maximizing learner achievement and self-image. AISB has balanced, diverse classroom environments, coupled with strong English-language environment that enhances language acquisition for non-native speakers.

A wealth of materials and sound pedagogical approaches in all subject areas move instruction toward inquiry-based learning where all students feel challenged and are successful.
