Middle School Program of Studies

Middle School students' core classes include language arts and social studies classes (grade 7) or a combined humanities program (grades 6 & 8) as well as mathematics and science. Core subjects are complemented by the required offerings of world language (French, German or Spanish) or ESL for students developing English language skills. All students in the Middle School take physical education/health 160 minutes each week. Band is offered for both beginners and more advanced instrumental students at each grade level.

Exploratory classes are offered through a rotational schedule which affords all students  nine weeks each of art, computer, drama, and music.  A Learning Resource program is available in support of students needing additional organizational or academic assistance. A recommendation for enrollment in Learning Resource is made in collaboration with teachers in partnership with parents and the student.
