Elementary School Student Life

Playground SoccerWe believe the student’s school life begins the moment the buses arrive or parents drop them off in the morning. Each day starts on the playground as the children assemble to be met by their teacher and walked to class. Every Friday morning we have an assembly where student share Music, Writing, Drama and wish the birthday kids a happy day.

After school activities are offered to 1st and 2nd grade children and for Kindergarten students from the second trimester. They may choose three activities per session from a long list such sports, gymnastics, cooking, soccer, art, poetry, computers, tennis, swimming, basketball, magic, drama etc.

The children are introduced to Hungary through many field trips. They all participate in classes in Hungarian Culture which emphasizes learning some basic words, listening and learning Hungarian folk tales, songs, and stories about traditional Hungarian Holidays.

All students have the opportunity to learn to swim during two, six-week blocks of swimming lessons in their Physical Education class.

Friends
Meeting other children from all over the world is perhaps one of the greatest gifts in the students' lives. Many new friendships that extend beyond the schoolyard are developed.

International Week
Our parent organization is very active and develops activities such as the Halloween party, pot luck dinners, and helps with special days. They welcome new families and offer opportunities to meet other parents.

International Week is a wonderful week of activities that help us celebrate the diversity of the students of Buda Campus.
