Welcome to AISB school year 2001/2002!

This Welcome Booklet was created for the AISB community by your PSA for both new and returning families to try and provide some important information and some suggestions of what to do in Budapest, that can be of service to you and your family. There will be a description of the PSA, security reminder, medical information, sights to explore in and around Budapest, suggested reading material to acquaint you with Hungarian literature and a Hungarian Food Glossary.

One goal of the PSA is to make your days at AISB easier. We are available to answer questions about AISB, life in Budapest, and getting involved in the school community.

You can contact any member of the PSA board (a full list of member’s names and telephone numbers will be distributed at the beginning of the school year) and remember to look for the school newsletter,Wednesday Weekly , (which is sent home to you with your youngest child every Wednesday) and you can also check the school’s web site www.aisb.hu for news and information about upcoming events.

What does the PSA do?

  • Organizes activities and events which bring members of the AISB community together Keeps lines of communication open between families and school.
  • Supports the school in maintaining a first rate educational environment for our children.
  • Strives to meet social and psychological needs of members of the AISB community.
  • Helps raise funds for student activities and needs.
