The AISB School Board is committed to good governance, as defined by the Working Group on NGO Governance in Central and Eastern Europe (Marilyn Wyatt, A Handbook of NGO Governance): "[Good governance is] a transparent decision-making process in which the leadership of a nonprofit organization, in an effective and accountable way, directs resources and exercises power on the basis of shared values." Our Governing Policy allows maximum freedom to produce, create, perform, and make operational decisions for administrators and faculty, but ensures oversight of ethical, legal and financial standards and accountability, as well as long-term vision and strategy.
