School Board Election Update

Annual AISB School Board Elections Will Take Place in April 2009

The AISB School Board currently has one vacant position due to the resignation of a Board member at the beginning of this school year. In accordance with school policy, the Board has chosen not to fill this position until the elections this spring.

The AISB School Board plays a key role in ensuring that AISB delivers a quality education in line with the school’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The School Board, in looking to the future, must always be concerned with maintaining Board member continuity in the interest of successfully and consistently meeting on-going and long-term development and financial goals.

For this reason, the Board is always looking for qualified parents who are interested in sharing their expertise and experience, both by joining Board Committees and by running for election. Please consider contributing your time and talents to ensure that AISB realizes its vision to “be a leader among the international schools of Europe, recognized for its outstanding students, dedicated faculty, excellent facilities, and rich and challenging programs for students and the community.”

Please look for Election Announcements beginning in March 2009. It is important that all parents vote in the election. A minimum of 35% must vote in order for the election to be valid.
