"Communications should be a planned, systematic, two-way process between the school and its stakeholders."

How We Communicate

The AISB School Board recognizes that intelligent, informed support of the school depends on knowledge and understanding of the school's challenges, opportunities, and goals, and participation in the school's programs.

The School Board affirms the importance of effective and productive internal and external communications. Communications should be a planned, systematic, two-way process between the school and its stakeholders, including parents, students, and school personnel, as well as with the larger expatriate and Hungarian communities.

School Board Meetings are held once a month. Any member of the AISB community is welcome to observe the Open Sessions.

Executive Sessions are reserved for Board members and dedicated to decisions that involve information that must be held confidential.

Meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes are posted on-line, as well as on bulletin boards at both campuses. A Board Action Calendar and Decision Log are also posted.

The Action Calendar outlines when particular issues are scheduled for a decision by the Board and the Decision Log reports decisions made at each meeting.

In addition, look for periodic Letters to the Community from our Board Chair that will keep you up-to-date on AISB's vision, goals, and long-term strategy.

Periodically throughout the year you may also be invited to attend public forums about educational issues of interest.
